Staying cool in hot weather
We've had record breaking temperatures this summer, and with the hot weather set to continue, here are our tips for staying cool in the heat:
- Stay hydrated! In the hot weather it's essential that you drink plenty of fluids, especially water
- Try to avoid being in the sun between 11am and 3pm, when UV rays are at their peak
- If you have to be outside, make to use a high SPF to protect your skin
- Keep curtains shut to block out the heat
Keep an eye out for the signs of heatstroke, which can be dangerous. There's lots of information on the NHS website about how to spot heatstroke, and what to do if you or someone you know is unwell.
We'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas on how to stay cool in this weather. Do you love the warmer climate, or are you waiting for cooler weather?
Thank you for your contribution!
